Lisa DeFosse, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Bowenwork Practitioner. Lisa realized the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection while working with those in counseling. While a practitioner in a grant-funded program at Maine Behavioral Healthcare in Biddeford and Westbrook, she learned how beneficial bodywork can be to those in talk-therapy. When the program ended, she knew she had to continue to help this population and founded the Healing Tribe. Lisa has seen the both Bowenwork and Massage reduce chronic pain and anxiety in many clients. Lisa is also trained in healing modalities which offer clients a space to calm their nervous system and enter into a state of healing. Lisa believes in the inherit ability of the body to heal itself and provides a safe place for that healing to begin. Trained in many modalities and over 20 years of bodywork experience, Lisa is able to customize each session to what is most beneficial for the client.
